Every week, thousands of people in Hyderabad search for yoga classes, sound healing sessions, meditation workshops and wellness retreats. Most of the best practitioners in the city never appear in those search results.
This is not because their work is not good enough. It is because their websites were not built with search in mind.
After two decades in enterprise IT and over a decade running Navyoga Wellness, I have seen the same SEO mistakes repeated by wellness businesses again and again. Here are the most common ones.
Mistake one: No clear location targeting. If your website does not explicitly and repeatedly mention the city and area you serve, Google has no reliable signal to show you in local searches. Every page of your website should mention your location naturally in the content, the title tag, the meta description and the headings.
Mistake two: Generic page titles. A page titled simply Yoga Classes tells Google almost nothing. A page titled Hatha Yoga Classes in Hyderabad for Beginners and Intermediate Students tells Google exactly what to rank you for. Every page needs a specific, keyword-rich title that reflects what that page actually offers.
Mistake three: No regular fresh content. Google rewards websites that are regularly updated with relevant, useful content. A blog or journal, like this one, signals to Google that your website is active and authoritative in your subject area. Even two posts per month makes a significant difference over twelve months.
Mistake four: Slow loading speed. Google uses page speed as a direct ranking factor. A beautiful website that takes five seconds to load will rank below a simpler website that loads in one second. Image optimisation, clean code and good hosting are not optional extras. They are SEO fundamentals.
Mistake five: No Google Business Profile. For local businesses, a fully optimised Google Business Profile is often more powerful than the website itself. It controls what appears in the map pack, the knowledge panel and local search results. If you have not claimed and optimised yours, do it today.
SEO is not a one-time task. It is an ongoing discipline. But the foundation, getting these five basics right, can transform your visibility within three to six months.
