Rakkenho: the Japanese healing art that completed my practice

Rakkenho is not widely known. It is a Japanese healing system that works with the body energy field, releasing stored tension, trauma, and stagnation that ordinary movement cannot reach.

I came to it after years of yoga teaching and sound healing. I thought I had a comprehensive understanding of how the body holds and releases energy. Rakkenho dismantled that assumption within the first session.

There is a quality of release that happens in Rakkenho that is genuinely different from what I had experienced through asana or breathwork. It works at a quieter, deeper layer, the kind of layer where old stories live.

Integrating Rakkenho into my practice has changed the way I approach every modality. It has made me a more sensitive teacher, a more perceptive healer, and a more patient human being.
